On this day, but about 365 days ago, I published my first article. From that day I devoted quite a lot of my free time to this weblog, and still doing it with a smile!
It's great to know where my little blog is after a year and I am very thankful for the people who made this possible.

I wrote a post a while ago about gravity in jQuery. Thinking it was a rather funny effect, I thought I'd submit this article to a famous weblog to see if they would accept it. And what do you know: it's now on ThemeForest's blog In The Woods!

The article will show you how to fake gravity using jQuery, creating real life simulation of objects falling.

The current design has been around for almost five months now. When I made that design, I didn't really aim for it to be a weblog and didn't pay much attention to its functionallity. I must say that in that time the design was kind of growing out of me and thought I needed a new one.

After a few days of thinking and many drafts I created a version suited better for my blogging needs. Read the post to see a large preview.

The last six months I've been researching a fairly new programming language with some of my classmates. In this period we've come to learn a lot about the language and the community surrounding it.
Our task was to investigate Groovy, Grails, and their position in a SOA environment.

After lots and lots of hours of work we managed to finally complete our research study and hold a course day for approx. 20 people at HAN University of Applied Sciences.

I want to thank Bart van Zeeland, Youssef El Messaoudi, Marco Kuiper and Jaap Mengers for being my colleagues during this study. I'd also like to thank Rody Middelkoop and Sander Leer for lecturing us.
